Resto Café Chez Anas

Had read good things and passed by dozens of times before finally going. The atmosphere is great, a bit eclectic but nicely lit and music at the right level. They should really make all the tables the same height! We ordered the pasta du jour $12(the only vegetarian thing on their menu), the Thai green curry $17 and the duck in raspberry sauce $17. It wasn't crowded so the food came out fairly quickly, the presentation was nice but I would've preferred a bit more rice as I was still hungry afterwards. My duck was good,a little like coq-au-vin with a twist, and my sisters pasta was good, my wife's curry however was about as lack luster as could be. I've made green curries far better at home and eaten ones far more authentic in Thailand. There was no real fusion of tastes or anything exotic which is what we were looking for. Also as soon as we were finished the 2 waitresses asked if we wanted dessert, we said no and went on finishing our wine then they started noisily busing ours and the adjacent tables in an effort to make us leave quickly.

Overall pretty disappointing, probably won't go back for supper again,meals are overpriced and small portions, might return for lunch as the sandwiches looked good and were priced around $9. May/2011

Moi, je trouve ce restaurant unique, il nous transporte dans les milles et une nuits, les prix sont abordable, le jour ainsi que le soir, c'est ne pas manquer la cuisine est d'une finesse et super bien prsente le service est bien
on nous sourie toujours nous sommes comme chez nous. Bravo.
